We recognise the need both to diversify our business portfolio but also the responsibility we have as an organisation to ensure our work activities are carried out with minimal impact. We have devised a four stage approach to this journey and are currently between Phases 1 and 2 which are outlined below:
Phase 1 – Benchmarking current position and setting reduction targets, key initiatives around company cars, electric vehicles, EV charge points, carbon neutral waste streams, utility use from 100% renewable sources and intelligent LED lighting.
Phase 2 – Building optimisation (assessment and introduction of solar panel, heat pumps, etc) energy reduction initiatives in all branches.
Phase 3 – Van and delivery vehicles, behavioural changes, carbon offsetting.
Phase 4 – Monitor, measure, and continual best practice improvements.
