Distillery Lighting Upgrade

The Project

After an extensive survey, Dron & Dickson’s technical experts agreed with the operator that a complete upgrade to LED lighting in-line with their site specifications was the best course of action. The long-term benefits and reduction in maintenance costs of LED vs fluorescent lighting greatly outweighed the initial supply cost.

• Dron & Dickson worked in partnership with the chosen LED lighting manufacturer to create a lighting design plan which not only met, but exceeded outlined expectations and needs. E.g. larger containment was used leaving capacity to install more equipment in these areas going forward.
• Dron & Dickson supplied and consulted on all associated electrical wholesale requirements such as glands, junction boxes and containment, advising on compatible products with the same long-term view as the LED solution.

The Result

Completed on time and within budget, the project was a success. It completely transformed the distillery and became a flagship for future projects, standardising process and product as well as driving forward compliance. By partnering directly with Dron & Dickson and the manufacturer, the operator had full control over the finished result and made considerable cost savings.
