The Background
An Operator had a requirement to update a distribution board on-board a North Sea asset. The exisiting board had been in use since 1991, had exceeded its reasonable working lifetime and was in poor physical condition. Failure of some major, now obsolete components that could not be replaced drove the decision for an upgrade to a suitable, modern, fit for purpose replacement.
Due to our extensive experience installing, maintaining and replacing hazardous area cabling equipment, Dron & Dickson were approached to consult on a solution.
